SUNY Fredonia - Houghton Hall Renovation

Fredonia, NY

Ellana provided cost estimating for the two-phase gut renovation and interior reconstruction of an 74,000-square-foot, two-story building to accommodate physics, geology, math and computer science departments.

The building, originally constructed in 1965, is a concrete structure with brick cavity walls with expansive below-grade space and features offices, teaching laboratories, research laboratories, classrooms, animal colony space, and animal vitrines.

The project included new mechanical systems, new AV & Security and the addition of a new custom sized hydraulic elevator to fit in existing shaft. The project is a 2023 AIANY Excelsior Award Recipient.
