MTA Coney Island Overhaul Shop Roof Repair

As part of the MTA General Engineering Contract, Ellana provided cost estimating services for the repair/replacement of four roof systems in the Coney Island Complex. The existing roof systems have reached the end of their useful life and are currently leaking in multiple areas. The objective of this project is to address the roof slab, roofing material, roof drainage, and skylights by conducting necessary repairs or replacements. The scope of work includes various tasks such as demolition, concrete and masonry work, metalwork, thermal and moisture protection, creating openings, implementing finishes, and addressing plumbing, HVAC, and electrical needs. The overarching goal of the project is to restore the existing roofs to a state of good repair, ensuring the elimination of roof leaks and standing water conditions. This improvement aims to enhance operational efficiency and promote employee safety.
