Squantum Elementary School

Quincy, MA

Squantum Elementary, the City of Quincy’s newest school, preserves its 1919 façade in a nod to the past while introducing flexible teaching spaces in daylight-filled classrooms. Educational areas include library, special education, art, and music classrooms, therapy rooms, a 2,500 SF media center, gym, and cafeteria.

The 79,801 SF school features a two-story building and basement as well as sitework for a three-acre lot that includes a playground and an outdoor classroom. A net zero energy usage goal is planned.

Ellana provided cost estimating and reconciliation services for this project. Our estimates included phasing considerations, existing building demolition & abatement, and 12 geothermal wells.
