Public Safety Answering Center II (PSAC II)

Ellana provided cost estimating services for the new construction of a 525,000 square feet, ten-story Public Safety Answering Center (PSAC). The new call center improves the City’s emergency communication systems, including responses to 911 calls. PSAC II was designed towithstand the effects of major disasters, both natural and man-made, and be able to operate without interruption. The building also complies with all applicable laws and ordinances, including the Green Buildings Law (Local Law 86 of 2005) governing sustainable design.

The scope of services included cost estimate preparation at all design milestones, value engineering estimates, and cost studies of various design options. Due to security and blast protection on various systems, we estimated up to 35 various alternates and design options to achieve the most compatible design and meet the budget.
