ELLANA provided schematic design/programming, design development, and construction drawing cost estimates at all milestones of the design development of the expansion of the Interdisciplinary High-Performance Computing Center (IHPCC) in Building 1M. Based on calculations, when fully built-out, the room will hold approximately 50 racks of blades using +/- 870,000 watts, 4180 amps @ 208 volts and require +/- 240 tons of cooling. The general scope of work includes: additional power, power conditioning, air conditioning, and emergency backup power; installation of raised flooring separation of computer area from office areas; fire suppression system; security key and monitoring systems; modifications of lighting; sealing of windows; window treatment in offices; securing approval for change of use and occupancy of the room.
